Hello Tetonbob,

Windows Update has installed the latest Genuine Windows verification tool, but when I run a custom update it offers a long list of updates which includes net framework 1.1 which is quite old. I don't understand.

I disabled as many running programs as I could to give the scanners a better shot and I did NOT uncheck the AV notification.

Can you recommend a security suite? I was thinking of using Panda.
