I want to upgrade the mainboard on my old P4 system from Intel 845 pe chipset to newer system with core 2 duo processor. If I stay with intel chipset can I move up without problem?

currently:

win2k
IDE hard drive
2 meg ram
P4 3 ghz
Gigabyte 8pe667 ultra
