that could be a problem. you could always see if someone has a monitor you could borrow for a an hour or so. i mean either way to transfer files from the pc to the mac you will need some kind of video on the pc. did you try to plug your monitor into another pc? if it works there, then its the video card on your pc. if it doesn't then monitor has gone to monitor heaven. depending on how "new" it is you can always see if there is a warranty on it.
