A question
Hello, I'm 14. I have been into web-hosting for about 2 years now (ive switched over to linux from windows about 4 months ago) and im wondering, how hard is it to run a web hosting business? I have a very loyal friend who is VERY VERY good with just about any os, any dedicated firewall, any problem, in any situation. (he is about 23, and has been into this stuff since birth, just kidding about that part, I still retain the belief he is a geek god) and is already doing alot of remote assistance for me (fixing my VERY flighty dedicated firewall 70%+ of the time) and it would be easy enough to setup winvnc on every server I run, but since its mostly command-line based i think ssh will be enough. Ive got most of the know-how to run a business, not to mention my financial advisor who used to be a tax officer (mom), but my question is, what is the best, cheap way to advertise, and above all. Am i just to young for people to take me seriously? I may be the founder of this business, but i have many other people to help me maintain it (and other ones who will definetly (sp?) do anything as long as they get paid) so when I go off to college, it wont just....Die. Opinions, suggestion, flame me and ill sick my hacker on you. (jk)
