Cool bandwidth / ethernet?

hi, The company I work for recently opened another shop, I was sent to the new shop to pull up drawings etc when needed. The server that I work thru is at the old shop. When trying to generate or pull up an existing drawing things progress painfully slow...or not at all. We use AUTOdesk Inventor. My question is: Is our present band width of 2mb (download) just not enough or is there another solution? Speed test from speakeasy show 1804 up and 610 down. thanks in advance for any advise! (broad band is being used)
