It sounds like exactly what is happening to me here. One thing that I didn't see addressed though is if after using partition magic, or whatever partition recovery program, will it do anything to the files on the slave drive? I used the GetDataBack program and everything IS there. $80 to register the program so the files can be copied. (Well worth it considering what is at stake) I am however afraid of messing up the files that are there doing anything not 100% certain. Even thought it might be better to go buy an external HD to transfer the files to not sure that would work though. Maybe just buy a new CPU and trash this one?
