I haven't met any of my local competition yet. But I have met some national/global competition. Since I do business on the internet, there are no real boundaries/distances. Those that I have met for more then a "hi, how are you" type of conversation have been curtious and so have I in return. I don't think anyone was rude or anything but unpleasent. But then, we were at a convention that dealt in our industry, so everyone was there to learn and discuss.
Outside of that, the few times that I've talked to those that are my competition, I've been friendly and willing to talk/help as needed. I've even helped a few with technical stuff as needed since they were having trouble. I don't mind helping them. Perhaps they'll remember it and return the favor one day.
