At instances the
Ctrl + 1 keys only display the
Font tab. This will usually occur if you haven't used the formatting feature for a while. If so, the alternative to reaching this same goal (apart from the forumla bar) and menu window is to
right-click on the cell you've just typed in and then choose
Format Cells....
