I stopped caring for the Zone Alarm problem following this decision I took: to install Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0. So, I forgot about Zone Alarm, I uninstalled my CA AV and Windows Defender ( <- I had problems there, too), and installed Kaspersky instead.
By the way, when I opened Add/Remove Programs I noticed I had four Java things installed: it said J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 1, 5, 8 and 9. I thought this is not normal, so I uninstalled them all and then I went to java.com and installed the one they gave me there (it was the 9 version, actually).
When I ran the installed Kaspersky for the first time, it found Trojan
Downloader.Win32.VB.fi in the System Restore,
Bargain Buddy in C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files\mail_msea115.exe//data0003//data0002 and //data0003, and Exploit HTML.Iframe.File Download (modification). I deleted them all.
My local network seems to work ok now. Please have a look at my fresh hjt log below and please tell me:
- Did I take the right decisions? Do you agree?
- Should I do something else, too?
- Do you see anything that shouldn't be in my hjt log, like remainings from the uninstalled programs?
- Am I clean now?
