Funny you should say that. About 20 minutes ago I plugged it back in just for giggles to see if maybe the planets were in proper alignment or whatever. I hit the power switch and BAM! Something popped, there was a flash, and a bad smell!
All the fans started spinning and it acted like you would expect except it didn't boot. I was looking at the board when it happened so I knew what area on the board it came from. I got a flashlight and investigated. There was a tiny black chip up beside the CPU next to the keyboard power on jumpers that was cracked in half. Unfortunately in my case the board is still dead except that the fans all spin now. Looks like I'll be RMA'ing this one... Hope it didn't get my CPU as well... I have no way to test it until I get the new board. At least I'll have a spare BIOS chip since that one I ordered can't be canceled
