As for Compaq and HP. I'm not sure if they are truly one-in-the-same, but they have the same tech support! So, that at least makes them lovers. It truly is a pisser to learn that you need the identical drive to use the restore disks. Especially since the computer is almost 3 years old now. Unless the guys at HP have some just lying around, the chances of finding one are very slim. It's like having to RMA a HDD 2 years into a 2 year warranty. You send it in and they send you one that is nicer and has a larger capacity because the others don't exist anymore.

I agree that Clinton should have been shot for signing the infamous NAFTA. I thought there was going to be a great sucking sound at the border from all the manufacturers running south. Man, was I ever wrong! The sucking sound was from all the Mexicans running North to steal all our jobs!
