My System

Another vote for Blackduck's suggestion.

Let me tell you a little story...
A computer I had a while back (I built it before coming to this forum) needed a new power supply when I upgraded the video card. I thought to myself, I'll just save on the powersupply and take the money I save for future upgrades. I bought a Thermaltake power supply, which is medium quality. I thought medium quality would be good enough. However I was wrong. About 6 months to a year down the road I started experiencing problems. Shortly after starting to get these problems I lost my computer. The power supply took out the motherboard and CPU. I was surprised that the memory and video card actually lived. Even the harddrive had problems.
Now, I 'only' lost a Celeron, harddrive, and nice motherboard, but think about what you could lose if that happened to you. You don't want to risk losing a 7950, do you?

My suggestion is don't go with anything less watts or quality than Blackduck's suggestion. Even if you have to wait another week or two before ordering the power supply to make sure that you can afford the good quality one.

Good luck!
