to answer your question, most all mid level computer users (much higher than noobs) learn of the bloated registry and duplicate files

sure we all want to fix and delete them

but my experience and observations of hordes of others too! is registry fixers / duplicate file erasing programs come in two versions the harmless type that doesnt really do much at all

or the very powerful that will allow you to really smoke your OS


never delete anything unless you know for sure what program or application it belongs to

but if you have cloned drive and or image file then you dont care


your desires to keep a "clean" OS is everyone dream but often is just not reality thats why we have the yearly "clean install" LOL
