system requirements for hard drive

I have a Dell Dimension 3000. I recently purchased a Seagate 250GB internal hard drive. On the back of the box, under system requirements, there are 2 which I dont understand and I was wondering if someone here could help me. I listed them below
  • ATA/IDE interface (Ultra ATA/100 recommended)
  • 48-bit addressing is required to exceed the 137-Gbye capacity limitation imposed by 28-bit addressing

Could someone tell me if my PC meets these requirements or guide me to where I could go to find out? thank you
