hard drive installation

Im not very smart when it comes to computers, so bear with me. I have a Dell Dimension 3000 and yesterday I bought a Seagate 250GB internal hard drive at Best Buy.

Before I bought the hard drive I took imy computer to the Geek Squad area in Best Buy. I asked them if it was even possible for me to add an extra hard drive or not. They said yes, but that I needed to buy another piece. They were pointing at a certain area (I circled this area in red in the picture below)

What im wondering is what exactly is this "piece" that I need? I was looking at this. Is that the right item I need? It looks exactly the same as the case that my current hard drive is in (circled in blue in the picture below)

And is there anything else I need? Becuase in the picture I posted below, in the area where my current hard drive is (circled in blue), I see a green board in there. What is that? Im guessing that its part of the hard drive, on the back, but im not sure because I havent opened my new hard drive ortaken the case off of my current one.
