Interpretation of the Constitution, particularly regarding checks and balances
Government’s role in allowing for “the pursuit of happiness”
The role of religion in governing

I ask this honestly because I'm truly curious. I always thought I understood what being conservative meant. But given the direction we've been heading under conservative leadership I cannot say that I know.
