Mistake Generic Host Process Win32 Error Bugging Me

Hi,
I am on XP SP2 P4 2.6 GHz and 512 MB RAM. I am frequently getting this error for about a month now:

When I click for details this is what I get:
Error Signature:

EventType : BEX P1 : svchost.exe P2 : 5.1.2600.2180 P3 : 41107ed6
P4 : netapi32.dll P5 : 5.1.2600.2180 P6 : 411096ac P7 : 0000a3c0
P8 : c0000409 P9 : 00000000

Technical Information:
C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER5b1d.dir00\svchost.exe.mdmp
C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER5b1d.dir00\appcompat.txt

All of a sudden this error pops out and what it does is that if i click on "Close" button. my broadband internet connection stops. The status shows connected but I am not able to open any sites then and if I just ignore this error by dragging it to one side without closing it, i get the same problem with my internet after a few minutes i.e. I am unable to open any sites.
I have to restart the PC before I can access the net again. Everything else seems to work normally except the net. Please help.

Thanks in advance.
