The easiest way to increase your laptops performance is to install more RAM. It is best to have at least 512 MB, but if possible, get 1 GB. That laptop has an Athlon XP, so it should take PC2100 RAM. It comes with 256 MB of RAM, but you can increase it to 1 GB, so that should help a lot.
