This is a very well written and informative article. One area (at least to me) that seems almost anti-climatic is the following lead in:

Computer manufacturers have specific key(s) or key combinations that you have to press when your PC boots up, etc, etc

That is my opinion, but I want to reinforce that the article is very much needed and very well written and documented.
