One generally accepted answer is to disassemble the laptop and take it to a TV shop to resolder the DC jack. You might want to purchase another jack as the old could be damaged or not be re-usable. That said, some laptops use a power board that contains the dc jack and other jacks as well that simply screws on to the mobo or chassis, so you may be able to purchase a power board and screw it in your self. A little research does show a power board but I was unable to see what it consisted of (no image available). You should search for a manual to get further detail
