I tried connecting my printer (savin 2518d) and my treo 650 to my new inspiron e1705 laptop (Windows XP). I downloaded the drivers on the installation disc, but for some reason I cannot print from the computer and cannot sync up my palm treo 650. I have tried everything that the windows xp troubleshooter has suggested, all to no avail. Additionally, I have been unable to print from the control prompt, (postscript printer).

The treo and printer both work when connected to my desktop. Is this problem due to the fact that I am using a laptop? Some other reason??
