i have actually tried that but i only replaced the ram with the same kind of value elixir ddr 400 and the noise remains, maybe a little quieter but its still there. its definately sounds like and electrical noise maybe its the capacitors on the board..... more investigation to follow....
I WILL have a silent PC lol
