Hi,

I installed [fitted] a new motherboard in a computer I had. I used all the same components except for new memory that fit this motherboard [512mb DDR 2100] its a Epox 4BDA533 motherboard, anyway, I put it all in and I m fairly certain its all plugged in right and whatnot but when I turn it on the fans start and the power boots up but the monitor doesn’t do anything and after around 7 seconds some bleeping fades in, the bleeps are one long [2 second] bleep followed by a short [1 second] bleep, these bleeps repeat without stopping, like a siren. Anyone got any advice?

My system info is:

ATI RADEON 9200 RV280LE/SE
Creative SoundBlaster sound card
Aztec modem
Pentium 4 CPU 1.6ghz
20gb HD [which I m replacing but does work, its unformatted also]
512mb RAM

I don’t know if the RAM works, but I’ve checked if its seated correctly numerous times, I’ve also done the same with the graphics card, which I’ve tested.

Although I know it works the monitor not coming on suggests it could be that, doesn’t it?

I’m on Award Bios also
