I haven't used this computer in a month. I haven't recently made any significant software or hardware changes

When I boot normally, my computer would freeze and my screen would become black. This happens about 80% of the time. During the other 20%, it would randomly freeze if I were using a program which utilizes my graphics card such as a video game. Note that I would have no problems running a video game....for about 15 minutes

I found out my videocard is the culprit and I have it disabled. I tried system restore to a previous date and reinstalling drivers. Neither work.

Any tips? Is it time to shell out money for a new video card?
