Same problem my computer not booting. It seems to be able to
find the boot sequence to go to windows. Just a blank screen.
Thought the cosmo battery was bad, purchase that and still
it would not start by turning off computer and and changing the
battery. Notice that the motherboard light was still on, so I unplugged
the computer cord and then went to restart and then the computer
went to the Setup with the messagae of Since you usa a new cpu or
reinstalled your cpu the system boots up at cpu bus frequency of 66mhz.
The speed on the setup was showing the correct processing chip speed
of 3000 mhz. I saved the setting and the computer booted up.
I will need to have a tech check out my hardware and stuff, I know.
So would it be ok to just leave the computer on until that time.
Down loaded the software that checks power and temp, but do not
know how to read the information. Almost forgot, when the computer
booted up to windows, it went back to the year of 2002. If you
can help explain what is going on. The software I brought that was
suppose to help boot the system did not work, even trying to use
Xp professional disk. Still have not found my A drive to create a
bootable start disk yet. Would this help to get the computer jump
started?
Please advise
