Sometimes this is a wise thing to do if you don't have parts to try because this could be just about anything and the only true way to figuar it out is by try certain parts one at a time.
At this point I suspect the powersupply because if it were the video card or ram the system would give you a beep code indicating so. I could possibly be the motherboard but like I said this is a process of elimination
