Router not working on Guild Wars

I just purchased Guild Wars (my first MMORPG YAY) I installed it yesterday using a Dial-Up connection it took an extremely long time but it worked. Today I had my satelite internet fixed and I tried using that to log on but when my computer says "connecting to ArenaNet" it stays at 0%. It didnt do this with my dial-up, it took almost half an hour but it did connect using my slooow dial-up. I went onto the guild wars help site and they said the problem had to do with my firewall, but i dont think that thats the case seeing as how it still wouldnt connect even after i completely turned my firewall off. It's second suggestion was to "make sure my router's TCP port 6112 and TCP port 80 are open within their settings". I have NO idea what their talking about or how to do that. If someone could tell me how to do that or give me a better suggestion, I would be greatful. I'm really eager to try this game out .
