Ok, good.

So all we're left with is the sound issue after your download of the updated Java.

When you downloaded your Sun Java, did you go directly to the site, or did you click on Update from within your original Sun Java?

Would you mind giving me this list?

Open HijackThis
*Click on the "Configure" button on the bottom right
*Click on the tab "Misc Tools"
*Click on the Box that says "Open Uninstall Manager"
*Click on the button "Save list"
Please copy and past the List from the notebook here.
