I recently got a toshiba satellite 5200-801 with no screen
it worked and displayed fine on an external monitor so gitted a new screen but when i booted it up the screen was squashed to the left hand side of screen leaving a 2 inch strip on the right of the screen black.
so i presumed screen was faulty and got another but this did same
i tried the screen on a different laptop and its working perfectly
i tried updating the graphics driver with no luck
laptop still works perfectly on external monitor so am wondering if maybe the inverter or screen cable may be defective but have not come across this problem before
would apreciate any sugestions
