Don't be surprised if you need to boost your memory voltage to 2.75V for your Corsairs. Don't know what O/S you plan to run or what you plan to use your PC for, but consider 1GB might provide a more satisfying experience than your 512MB.

i have a linksys lan card.. which do you think i should use? the integrated 3com or the linksys lan card?
Both would be PCI, so why burn a slot if you don't need to? Start with the integrated LAN and see how it goes.

so.. i was wondering.. when i get everything installed..what should i do first??
Don't install everything... at least leave the soundblaster out for the initial install, and disconnect all HDD's you won't be installing your O/S to. After the initial install you should first install the Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility, followed by other downloaded Asus drivers, your video driver, then firewall & virus protection, etc.. Then add the additional devices and any drivers they require. There's a LOT more to it, and as many recommended order's as there are builders.

will my 350watt ps be enough?
Probably not. 330-350 is the very bottom end of our recommended range. You didn't tell us about your peripherals. But unless you have only one HDD and one CD device, you should up this to a 480W (eg. Antec True480) or higher. Whatever PS you use also has to be ATX12V compatible.

update the bios -then-> reformat? should i stick with the stock bios or should i upgrade?
Don't update BIOS until everything is confirmed working OK. The O/S setup should take care of any reformatting needed.

is the new bios safe to upgrade?
Don't know yet. P4C800 is the oldest model in the series, so it could come with any version on it, all the way back to 1004! Perhaps it could benefit from at least some upgrade, maybe 1011 as clayman suggested.

Hope this helps,
