Audio out of sync

Hi all ^_^

My mother had dropped water a week ago on my laptop, she didn't know *not sure she would have said something had she known * neither did we, though when my sister and I got back home, we noticed it was running considerably slower, programs refused to open up, all sorts of error messages popped up now and again: that happened on Saturday afternoon. Monday morning it refused to start up, we called the manufacturer: Fujitsu Siemens who tried to telephonically help out (they didn't know much either ) and eventually passed us onto a tech who suggested that we wait for it to dry out. We gave it a couple of days and things seem to be okay, took the hair dryer and gave it a whirl..everything seems to be running alright except for the headphone port. When plugged in, the headphones work but the sound also projects out of the laptop speakers...any clue what to do to get this thing running back to normal ?? I haven't a clue what to do and fujitsu is not helping

Appreciate the time taken and looking forward to some help :D
Many thanks
