Hi jp -

There's a difference to us between a BSOD (blue screen of death) and your desktop appearing as a blank blue background, which is why I may have misundertood. BSOD comes up as an error message upon boot, or during operation, when Windows has a critical error.

If your system boots to Windows, and you can log in, and then all you have is a stable, but blank, blue background, we will do this:


Please follow this Guide for restoring your desktop, and let me know how you make out.

Also post whatever logs you have at this time, please.
