addendum: on a previous tip - possibly from you? - I downloaded Spybot Search and Destroy, and ran it successfully a few times. I just tried to run it again to see if I could get the log smaller, but it won't even open.
what gives? should i just go back to using a typewriter and bartering with live chickens?
