Belkin wireless G Notebook network card

Having read of my problems with Belkin "network" equipment in other threads, you may rmember that I was having trouble with the above.

The management utility would not always load at startup. The box would appear for a second, with the icon in the system tray, and then it would disappear. Clicking on the desktop icon would bring the box up for a second but it would then disappear. After about four restatrs, it would "stick" and work as well as the (as it turned out also) faulty router would allow.

Having replaced the router (and incidentally the adaptor for my desktop machine - batting two out of three so far) I decided to reinstall the software for the laptop card as it was displaying the same problems as before I replaced the router.

Now it loads successfully. It detects the network. It will not give me access to the internet..... Whatever site a try is "not found" according to netscape or Explorer. I can see no reason for this, as nothing has changed from the previous install. I've looked at all the parameters in Control Panel that I can think of but nothing seems to make any difference.

Looking carefully, I see that it still says on the Belkin box "3 easy steps". If only it were true....
