Are you just using your mb for raid 1 or do you have a controller card? You may just need to replace one of those two components. If you are using a controller card try hooking one hdd right up to the motherboard. As craig mentioned if you can't fix your rig you should be able to do a repair install on another system. Since the two drives are identical I would just try to get one drive to boot up on another system rather than trying to set the whole raid 1 up on another system. If all else fails hook one of those drives up to a current working system as a slave and recover your data, as long as nothing was encrypted.
