out, out, stupid viruses

Hi there.

It seems that we have acquired two viruses on our home computer; Norton calls them w32.ronoper.worm and w32.kwbot.f.worm, and has quarantined them but cannot clean the damage off the hard drive. So I boogied over to symantec with my extremely limited tech knowledge, and dutifully followed removal instructions up to the point where I was supposed to delete certain lines of text out of the Registry - but I couldn't find those lines of text there.

Like I said, this is NOT my forte. We figure the viruses came over through Kazaa, which we are done with now (no 80s music is worth this hassle.) Our homepage keeps switching to http://cool-homepage.com automatically (thought we fixed that but now it's back) and when I try to sign OUT of hotmail or IN to yahoo mail, it says an error has occured and the browser closes. What's up with that?

Any advice appreciated (beyond "don't let your computer get attacked by viruses, brainiac.") Thanks!
