let's just say for a few seconds i actually couldn't see anything.

Oh wow.. that is some interesting info! I never thought the backlighting on one of those TFT's could hold a charge so powerful.
Well, I still havent open her up yet..still waiting on my carbon fiber before I do anything
So a question, I assume there would not be a capacitator on the back of that thing... so then, where is the charge held? And how would I discharge it. I know how to discharge a CRT, but never worked with a TFT without a tube.
So I guess this means I should pull out my rubber gloves and work with that thing, huh..
