The difference between the 2.66 and the 3.0 are negligible in my opinion. Then, as mentioned you have to deal with having the 533 vs. 800 fsb unless yours is already capable. Tell you what, the 2.66 is pretty darn good if you were to overclock some, so that might be a way to get better performance without the cost of the upgrade. Like PurpleSky mentioned, you would need to go to the 3.4 to make it worth very much expense. The problem that I see is you will be paying money for the same technology (abiet a little better) when you could save and move up later.
