1st time start-up, 3 sec. bios. writtendate:14march06
Ok on my first start ups after build, computer starts up, hold down "delete" button to get to bios, and 2-3 secs into bios computer shuts down. power unit is 3 months new, tested on old gamer. ram is 1 - 2 years old, came from old server. hard drives 4 days new, same as motherboard, and cpu. called ASUS tech's, and was told that they use a 3rd party heat sink, bla bla bla. dont know the difference unless the bios by default is set-up that anything less than "god mode" is below them. could it be the stock cpu fan in to slow by the bios standards? Ive taken the processor off as well and it powered up just fine. of course no bios without a chip. Thanks for any help
