Let's 'test' and see if that is in fact the problem here.
Click Start->Run - type
SERVICES.MSC & then click on the OK button
*Locate the service -
BT Modem Lock - British Telecommunications plc
*Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog.
*Under the General tab:
*Stop the service by using the
Stop button.
*Change the Startup type to
Disabled & then click on the OK button and reboot.
Any luck now? If not, I'm wondering if your friend may not have the Control Kids program set up properly. You may want to check into that aspect.
