Alright I removed my heatsink, cleaned off the old compound and applied some new heatsink compound to the proccessor. I'm waiting awhile before I turn it on so we'll see what happens.
The good thing was that it was a surprisingly easy process, but nothing looked burnt at all so I'm not sure if it was a burnt out chip that was the problem.
We'll see, though. I'll let you guys know. How long should I wait to turn it on? I've read 24 hours for best results.
