Mobo saying that CPU fan speed is 0, but its not

Wierd issue. Well, this never happened before, but the other day I got a new computer case, so i just swapped everythign out of my old one, put in the new one. When I was booting up, it said cpu fan speed too low, the *warning*, but I had the case open, the fan was working and the cpu temp was low, in the bios hardware monitor the cpu fan speed read 0. SO I unplugged the cpu fan power connector from the mobo, and plugged it back in, and in the hardware monitor, the speed started showing again as normal. Anyways, whenever I reboot, it always resets to 0, even though the fan is working. I put the fan speed warning OFF, but was just wondering what the heck is going on? Mobo is asus a8n-sli premium.
