After I ran thru the process you posted I found a Spyaxe icon on my desktop. I sent it to the recycle bin. It said it was just a shortcut but I could not find it in my control panel - add/remove options. I ran the online scan of my computer. I thought I had saved the file but when I went to retrieve it for posting here I could not find it. It did say there were no viruses/malware found. I've posted the rest here.
