Hi,

Try this:

Go to Start, Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device Manager and find the modem area. Expand it with the +, then right click and delete or uninstall the modem.

Shut down and move the modem to PCI #3 (third slot down from the video card slot)

Note: If this is not a pci dial-up modem, then this is not appropriate for what you are doing. I had assumed this was dial-up, since it is posted in the dial-up area.
