From the info above, it appears that you may have a failing hard drive. Let's try chkdsk first.

Go to My Computer & select Drive C by right clicking on it.
Select 'Properties' & choose the 'tools' tab.
Click the 'Check Now' button for error-checking
Tick both available options & click 'Start'
Windows would require you to reboot for it to carry out the operation.

Let me know how that went.

Also find out if you have this file in your machine - C:\WINDOWS\system32\shdocvw.dll
