Hi,

Just some friendly bits of advice.

Don't mix registered and unregistered ram.

Don't mix different sizes of Ram.

Don't mix different speeds (latency)of ram.

Don't mix any Ram that does not sell as matched pairs of ram.

Don't put any Ram in a motherboard that is not on your board's QVL chart.

My recommendation if you want two gigs of ram. Buy a matched pair and sell your two sticks of 512 to someone who wants only one gig of ram.

That is my opinion and I am sure you did not want to hear this, but that is the way it is if you want your computer to work at top efficiency.
