Democrat victories spell trouble for Bush?
If you didn’t notice this was the headline on Yahoo News today. The liberal news media is trying to portray this as if it is a disaster for Bush. Granted it was a good day for the Democrats, however it was not a bad day for republicans. The two races that got the most attention were NJ and VA governor races. In both races the position was previously held by democrats. Again nothing has changed. As far as the president’s poll numbers, let me remind everyone that not only does the president have three years left in his term he also is not running for re-election. The President personally has nothing to loose. The Republicans on Capital Hill need to WAKE UP!! Republicans need to get off their heels and go on offense. We are letting the minority party control the senate. There is no excuse for Republicans lying down. They need to put forth the agenda that Americans voted for. It is hard to do things when you have liberals jumping up and down in front of you screaming for Karl Rove to be fired, telling Bush to say he won’t pardon Libby. Let’s face it this CIA leak probe had nothing to do with Scooter Libby it was about setting the stage for a Bush Impeachment. They wanted Cheney and Rove indicted not Libby. Now they are stuck in their own mess. Two years now have gone by since this investigation started. To remind you…the original charge was the leaking of a “covert” CIA agent’s name. Libby was not indicted on this. Let’s let this case go by and take its course. I do believe that we are making this bigger than it is. The President needs to step up and defend himself. In a time like this we need a good leader, like the one that I saw right after 9/11; I know our President has it in him. The question is will he rise up out of all of this and start an ambitious agenda. If he can do that which I believe he will then history will indeed vindicate George W. Bush.
