Our nation would be far better served if we choose presidents with the proper successful military background / a president who has seen and participated in the field where the "cordite burns" then he will know first hand ~~ war is not a tool for plunder or policy making

You say that you respect the miliary service members yet you critisize the very people who have served. President Bush served in the National Guard, that is a fact and you cannot take that away from him. To say that it was his rich family the kept him from war would be speculation and you do not have the facts to back it up. So do not go there and do not critisize someone who has served.

As to my statement about toppling goverments / when a nation topples a goverment (coup) and inserts a puppet then you expect that there will be a segment of the population that was supportive of that leader / the end result is you have just recruited soem terrorists.

If you haven't heard the Iraqi's are voting in an election to find their leader we will leave Iraq when it is peaceful and we will let the Iraqi's decide who they want their leader to be.

Newhouse / the pres presented "evidence and classified at that if my memory serves me correctly / evidence which as far as I am concerned was coerced and twisted to make it fit his puzzle.

Democrats on the senate intel committee saw the same intelligence that the president did to say that he twisted it again you have no "evidence". All you can do is speculate, you don't know!!

Supporting our troops yet not supporting the war?? How can thes two things co-exist they contradict themselves.

Dont you ever question why the 1991 gulf war was so accepted; supported and rightly so by this country ?? old George did it right !! thats why he formed a coalition of other nations to help fight and make SURE it was justified by the presence of such a coalition. Or are all the other countriesd wrong for not participating and we are the only rightous one.

When it comes to defending our country, our federal government should have autonomy in determining what is in the best interest of our country internationally, as opposed to relying on organizations such as the United Nations or other countries, even our allies, to make our decisions for us.

You totally misunderstand my views / I feel our military is a precious instrument of our nation / much like the heart is to our body / I dont believe it should be used to alter or modify other countires beliefs or actions / I dont believe it should be used to protect puppet goverments put in place to help our glutenous nation devour oil / it distrubs me deeply to see all the pictures of the Bush family including old george sooo cozy with the Saudi's on his personal ranch.

We are fighting terrorists in Iraq. This was self defense and now since we have defeated the government who supported terror we are going to install a free society instead of leaving it open for a dictorial rule, unless of course you want to put a puppet in there and again let him threaten the world with WMD's!

As a service member I can tell you that personally, it hurts me to see some people like you attack the cause while my friends are still in harms way. I unlike many soliders want to return to Iraq, I want to see that if in the 8 months I've been back has that country changed drastically?

I want ask you a question...If you were George W. Bush right now what would do about Iraq?

Just out of curiosity who did you vote for in the '04 election?
