If you will do your research, I think you will find that Colin Powell wanted to stay another few months and was told "NO". Now, I am not defending if that was a correct postion for GW to take or not, because I though Powell was O.K., but the facts do bear out that he was shown the door earlier than he had planned. House cleaning, I don't know, but the facts are as stated if you check.

Here again, those were his words, however, given the faulty intelligence that he also received, he was O.K. with the action that was taken in view of the CIA determination that there were WMD's. His decision to take military action was reluctant until he thought that WMD's were there because of the CIA intelligence. . He did support the action in view of the CIA assurance that they were there. Do I think he would support that action without the CIA reports, No, I don't, but he got the same reports as the President did. Clinton also supported that action when given the same CIA reports.
