Problem with cdrw/dvd driver

Today, I turned on my laptop (vaio vgn fs 630/W) and my surprise was that the computer does not recongnize my cdrw/dvd unit. Then I check the control panel on de devices administrator and the drive icon its besides a warning icon, at the properties of the device says that windows does not can load the driver to the sistem. The model of the drive is QSI CDRW/DVD SBW-243.
On the internet site of the manufacturer tells that the device is driverless and does not use one specific software to work.
So, i guess that the drive works under the windows xp generic drivers. I tried to update the drivers files contains on the folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers, and nothing, i replace that files and still does'not work. Pleasee help me

Thankss byee
